Nothing says Autumn quite like candy apples and jack-o-lanterns. Reading Terminal Market has plenty of both at its annual Harvest Festival, a day-long celebration of the Pennsylvania harvest. This year's event features loads of fresh, local produce, cheeses and award-winning wines.

There will be hay rides, face painting, arts and crafts, and fun pumpkin events like a jack-o-lantern contest and pumpkin drawings. Or try and guess the weight of some of the largest pumpkins you’ve ever seen.

Filbert Street, right outside the market, will be transformed into an urban farm with exciting family activities, including a giant pumpkin patch, a sidewalk barbeque and other sidewalk sales. For those with a sweet tooth, there will be homemade donuts and caramel- and candy-dipped apples.

Bluegrass band Special Delivery will provide the musical entertainment, playing heartfelt, traditional tunes throughout the festival.
